This artwork was inspired by Afro-Cuban sacrificial ritual whereby a goat is slaughtered and cut in many parts. These are then strewn with spices, grains and beans and left left rotting in the open air. The goat has been here substituted by a marble block. When exhibited, spices, rice and beans are also strewn over the broken stones.
